SKY IS THE LIMIT

Two years ago I did probably the most exciting thing I’ve ever done, I jumped thousands of feet up out of plane, and it was AWESOME!

My cousin is a skydiving instructor so my dad thought it’d be fun to try. My dad, brother, aunt and I were the only ones brave enough to go. So we boarded the plane each with our own instructor to be strapped to so we could free fall for longer! I was last to go so when we got high enough everyone got in line and before I knew it is was my turn, I didn’t even have a second to think about what I was doing before I was airborne. We were able to free fall for about 50 seconds, and then float in the parachute for 2 minutes and control where we were going. Before long I could see the rest of my family on the ground and we landed. It was an insane rush, and over way to soon.

I would recommend this to everyone! I know I would do it again in a second.

FAKE

After going to about 5 different hospitals and getting multiple X-rays, it was determined that I would need surgery on my upper arm. I then waiting 5 days in my bed unable to eat all day until I knew I wouldn’t be getting surgery that day.  I hate being stuck in bed, and not being able to do what I want when I want. So waiting for surgery and then recovering was really difficult for me, I don’t know what I would have done without my awesome friends visiting me everyday and cheering me up!

I probably got 10 new stuffed animals, some flowers and fruit basket! It really opened my eyes to who my real friends were, a lot of the people I thought were my so called “good friends” didn’t even bother to ask me if I was okay or what happened. I wasn’t looking for sympathy or anything like that, but I bothered me that a lot of the people who I thought were my friends didn’t even realize I hadn’t been around for a month.

At least I found out who was legit from this experience.

Broken

About 2 and half months ago I went through an interesting life experience. I was snowboarding at Edelweiss in Gatineau QU; I was hitting a 10-15 ft. step up, which means it’s a jump but the landing is higher then the jump. It was our last run before lunch and probably my 5th of 6th time going off the jump when I caught my edge and was flung backwards off the jump landing on my arm.

I knew it was broken instantly, felt it snap and could feel my whole arm dangling it reminded me off when harry potter broke his wrist in the 2nd movie. My boyfriend was right there when it happened so I yelled at him to go get someone because I couldn’t move, he came back with the ski patrol who brought me to the bottom of the hill where they put me in the back of my boyfriend’s SUV to go to the first of many hospitals.

The worst part for me was knowing that it was the end of my boarding season, I just felt useless and very angry.

Casino Lac-Leamy $

This weekend I went to the casino for the first time! It was a little intimidating at first; everyone seemed so hard-core, guarding their machines waiting for the coffee girl to come by. There were no windows or clocks, giving it a kind of timeless feeling.

I stuck to the slot machines while my friend Cameron went to play poker for an hour. After trying a few machines I settled for the pinball one. I put 20 in the machine and after about 20 minutes of going up and down I got the pinball meaning you have 4 balls to hit as many numbers as possible. I didn’t understand it at first so I just kept hitting the button and all of a sudden it was saying I won 112 dollars! I cashed out right away with $121.00 too afraid to keep playing. After that I went to the bar and got some food while waiting for Cam to finish poker. Since I was not expecting to win anything it was quite a surprise when Cameron came back with four hundred!!

It was a pretty big rush to actually win some money my first time going, and together we won enough money to pay for our whole trip snowboarding! Although I don’t expect to win every time I defiantly plan on going back sometime
